Co-founder and Co-manager of Poetic Justice, Franci Louann has had poetry published since the 70s. She was first anthologized in Dorothy Livesay’s iconic Woman’s Eye: 12 B.C. Poets (Air: 1974). Lipstick Press published her Beach Cardiology in 2010. Franci is the recipient of poetry prizes from Pandora’s Collective, the Burnaby Writers’ Society, and the Surrey International Writers’ Conference. An accomplished poet, Franci has also been honoured for her volunteer work by several writing groups.
As the new Co-Manager of Poetic Justice, James Felton has clung to poetry like it was his security blanket. He doesn’t write much poetry, but he has been a ‘Poetry Apostle’ since the early eighties. He majored in English and completed his undergraduate thesis on the Canadian poet, P.K. Page. He is currently amassing an annotated and illustrated bibliography of West Coast poet, Susan Musgrave. James is a book collector, specializing in Canadian literature first editions.
Janet Kvammen is our Media Manager at Poetic Justice. An accomplished poet/artist in her own right, she is a Founding Member and Vice-President of the Royal City Literary Arts Society (RCLAS). In the past, Janet has been our website keeper; today she continues to administer our Facebook page and Twitter account. As if she doesn’t have enough on her plate, Janet is also the Vice-President of New West Artists, trying to bring a modicum of order to all these creative types.
Cassandra Metcalfe is an all around creative in the current publishing world. A sometime poet, sometime marketing manager, and occasional book reviewer, she built the new website and help lay the foundation for Poetic Justice’s re-branding. Her favourite poets (of the moment, at least) are Derek Walcott, T.S. Eliot, H.D., and Nicole Brossard.
